Safe, even on your first dive
Even if you can't swim, even on your first dive, an internationally certified instructor stays with you one-on-one and a buoyancy device supports your body. Here is how we keep you safe, and what to check before you book.
Safety
Safety is a process, not a single piece of gear
Safety isn't one slogan or one device. It is kept through a process: a health check before booking → a briefing → gear fitting and a basic safety briefing on site → entering the water with an instructor one-on-one. Below is each step, and what is worth checking before you book.
Check before you dive
Your health
For safety, participation may be limited by cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, pregnancy, alcohol, or certain medications. Tell us honestly about your health before booking and we'll confirm whether you can join.
Experience level
A discover dive needs no license. Certified (fun) diving requires an Open Water (OW) certification or higher.
Weather on the day
When typhoons, high waves or strong winds threaten safety, we don't dive. A full refund or a new date, your choice.
Gear and the process
Before entering the water we fit your gear and give a basic safety briefing. Diving is guided mostly with hand signals and demonstration, so you can follow along even without fluent language.
Your questions
Ask anything you're unsure about before you enter the water. We move on only once it's clear.
How we prepare on site
On your booked day, this is the order we prepare in before entering the water.
Health check and gear fitting
We check how you're feeling that day and fit the gear to your body.
Basic safety briefing
Before entering the water we go over hand signals and how the dive will run, confirming it together by demonstration even without fluent language.
Into the water, one-on-one
From entry to ascent an internationally certified instructor stays with you one-on-one. The buoyancy device supports your body, so it's safe even if you can't swim.
Tell us when you book
Sharing the following when you book lets us prepare a safe, smooth dive. Whether you can join is confirmed by the center, not decided on this page.
- Health
- If you have a cardiovascular or respiratory condition, are pregnant, have drunk recently, or take medication, please tell us honestly. Full criteria are in the terms of service.
- Minors
- Minors need a guardian's consent. Please ask about exact age and conditions when booking.
- Language
- Tell us the language you're comfortable with for the briefing and we'll prepare for it. Diving itself runs mostly on hand signals and demonstration.
This page is not a medical diagnosis or an eligibility decision. The final check happens in your booking consultation. See the terms of service →
